SMALL COMFORTS FOUNDATION ORGANIZES VHS COMMUNITY
TAPE DRIVE IN TOMPKINS COUNTY
Collected tapes go to support the Alex Cima VCR Program



(Ithaca, NY) May 6, 2004 - Small Comforts Foundation is organizing a tape drive in the Ithaca community to support one of the program's it administers and supports, the Alex Cima VCR Program. The Program currently supplies mobile television and VCR units as well as VHS movies to several institutions for their patients.

The Foundation is asking members of the community to donate new or used commercially purchased tapes that can be used to replenish the existing tape libraries. They are especially interested in collecting PG, PG-13, and R rated movies from the last two years. Donations can be made at:

-99 Sheraton Drive, Triphammer branch
-409 N. Meadow Street
" Curves for Women, 609 W. Clinton Street
" LAP Co, Inc., 309 S. State Street
" Bethel Grove Bible Church, 1763 Slaterville Road

The Alex Cima VCR Program is currently in place at Cayuga Medical Center, Hospicare of Ithaca, and Dialysis of Ithaca. It hopes to expand to other area agencies serving the chronically ill.
